Jeffrey A. Pine

Jeff’s practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright counseling, litigation, prosecution, licensing and opinion work. Based on his years of experience, both as a patent lawyer and working as an engineer for a major defense contractor, Jeff has patent prosecution expertise in the electrical, mechanical, software and Internet fields. Jeff has also developed a specialty in counseling and providing IP protection for start-up and established Internet-based companies. Jeff began his intellectual property career and became a partner at the Midwest’s largest intellectual property firm, and in 1999, he left and became one of the founders at his former firm, Baniak Pine & Gannon. In 2007, after his former firm closed its doors, he became a founder and partner of Valauskas & Pine.
